The specifically designed survey was used to collect patient feedback across Mendip Vale in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset to understand how we can improve our service and how you, our patients, perceive our surgery and staff.
Out of 80,000 registered patients, 1,031 surveys were completed, equating to 1.3% of the patient population. As the largest survey conducted by Mendip Vale, we would like to thank all the patients who took the time to complete the survey and for supporting the practice. Your feedback is very important, and every comment is valued.
Mendip Vale has reviewed all the feedback and working with the PPG has produced a report on the actions we will take to improve patients’ satisfaction over the next year. The report addresses comments and concerns including patient dissatisfaction with eConsult, slow response after an eConsult submission, the need to improve communication and the increasing size of the practice. Many of the actions outlined are currently being actioned, including the introduction of a new telephone system and website, launching this month.
Since the report, several actions have been taken. Although, many actions had deadlines, this work will be continuous to ensure that we communicate and engage with patients the progress of the service.
The next surgery survey will be in July 2024. However, if you have any feedback you would like to give in the meantime, please get in touch with the Surgery Manager.
